Rahm's DP World Tour appeal may not end before Ryder Cup
Rahm's appeal against his DP World Tour ban may not be resolved before the Ryder Cup, according to Sky Sports' Jamie Kinnings.
DP World Tour appeals process
Rahm was banned from the DP World Tour for eight weeks after walking off the course during the Dubai Desert Classic in February.
The Spaniard appealed the ban, but a decision is not expected until after the Ryder Cup, which takes place from September 29 to October 1.
This means that Rahm could miss the DP World Tour's flagship event, the BMW PGA Championship, which takes place from September 15 to 18.
Kinnings said: "I think it's unlikely that Rahm's appeal will be resolved before the Ryder Cup."
"The DP World Tour has a process to follow, and they will need to take their time to consider all of the evidence."
"It's a shame for Rahm, but he will have to accept the decision of the DP World Tour."
Rahm is one of the best golfers in the world and his absence from the Ryder Cup would be a major blow to the European team.
The Spaniard is a two-time major champion and has been a key member of the European team in recent years.
If Rahm is unable to play in the Ryder Cup, it will be a major boost for the United States team.
The Americans have won the last two Ryder Cups and will be looking to make it three in a row in Rome.
