Marte activated from IL 60-day
Ketel Marte was activated from the 60-day injured list on Tuesday and was in the lineup and batting second for the Diamondbacks against the Astros in the opener of a three-game series at Minute Maid Park.
Missed 59 games
Marte, who missed 59 games with a right hamstring strain, singled in his first at-bat against Astros starter Luis Garcia.
Tucker missed 18 games
Houston's Kyle Tucker was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday and started in right field and batted fifth against the Diamondbacks.
Missed time with a quad strain
Tucker, who missed 18 games with a left quad strain, went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles in his return to the lineup.
Both players key contributors
Both Marte and Tucker are key contributors to their respective teams. Marte is hitting .295 with seven home runs and 31 RBIs in 66 games this season. Tucker is hitting .258 with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs in 76 games.
