Stunning Second Half Performance Secures Win
Manchester City recovered from a 2-0 deficit to beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 in a thrilling Premier League match on Saturday.
The visitors took a shock lead through Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal in the final minutes of the first half. However, City responded magnificently in the second half, with goals from Erling Haaland, Riyad Mahrez, and Julian Alvarez securing a vital victory.
City's win moves them five points clear of Tottenham in the Premier League table. It also extends their unbeaten run to 11 matches in all competitions.
Tottenham took the lead against the run of play when Kulusevski fired home from close range in the 44th minute. Two minutes later, Royal made it 2-0 with a stunning long-range strike.
City began the second half with renewed intensity and quickly reduced the deficit through Haaland's header in the 51st minute. Mahrez equalised for City 10 minutes later with a fine individual effort.
Alvarez put City ahead for the first time in the 81st minute with a close-range finish. The Argentine striker then sealed the victory with a second goal in stoppage time.
City's comeback victory was a testament to their resilience and quality. They will now look to maintain their momentum when they face Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
